There are 2 things in life that are sure to bring a smile to my face:

This time, Mr. Food Savvy took the classic avocado-goodness-spread and added a twist to it, to create a delicious dish I like to call Smoked Guacamole.
Inspired by a dish he tried at a restaurant while visiting Austin, Texas, with his brother, he came up with this recipe:
- 64g of smoked gouda cheese
- 2 avocados (with pit and skin removed)
- ½ tsp. sea salt
- ½ tsp. lemon juice
- Add all ingredients to a food processor (like this one) and blend! Easy Peasy.
At first I was a little apprehensive about this change in one of my most favourite dishes on the planet (guacamole). But I was pleasantly surprised.
The smoked gouda cheese was a subtle change to give the guac some personality. I would definitely recommend adding this recipe to your repertoire.
And as always, here's a little ditty to play while you gather your ingredients. Infuse this guac with so much goodness so that is picked up by your cells as you eat it!
